Pool Rules
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
No glass containers in the pool area.
No running, roughhousing, or disruptive behavior.
No diving unless posted signage permits it.
Do not prop open the pool gate. Ensure it closes securely on entry and exit.
Follow all posted rules regarding food, drinks, and flotation devices.
Pool and fitness center use is restricted to posted operating hours — after-hours use is prohibited.
OUTDOOR AREAS
Deck Furniture & Cushions
During summer, cushions are stored in the large brown plastic bin on the deck. In the off-season they are kept inside in the kitchen.
Return cushions to the storage bin when not in use.
Bring cushions inside or into the storage box before rain.
Store cushions before leaving the house.
Do not drag furniture across the deck surface.
Grill
The grill is connected to a hard-lined propane supply — there is no tank to replace.
Propane shutoff lever: Located on the deck floor to the right of the grill.
To grill: Turn the lever to the ON position (lever aligned with the gas pipe) before starting.
After grilling: Turn the lever back to the OFF position. Always shut off the propane supply when finished.
Garage — Beach Equipment
You are welcome to use the beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, and other equipment stored in the garage. Please do not use the surfboards stored on the surf racks — they are expensive and fragile. Boogie boards and other boards not on the surf racks are available for guest use.
Garage Floor Condensation
Because Seaglass House sits on a barrier island between the bay and the ocean, the garage floor may occasionally "sweat" during humid weather. This is normal and not a concern — but the floor may become slippery. Opening the garage doors helps reduce condensation. Please use caution when walking in the garage.
NEARBY BEACHES
The Watermark community does not have direct beach access, but several great beaches are within 2–3 miles. You can always head to downtown Bethany Beach for the boardwalk, shops, restaurants, and a public beach. For a quieter day, Delaware's state park beaches are stunning.
Parking & Beach Passes
At Delaware State Park beaches, pay the daily parking fee via the designated parking app or in person at the DNREC Life-Saving Station, just north of the Indian River Inlet Bridge.
3Rs Beach
Located north of the Indian River Inlet, this is a popular spot for surf fishing and general beachgoers alike. It has a natural, rugged feel. With a state surf-fishing pass, you can drive your car directly to your spot.
South Indian River Inlet
On the south side of the Inlet with easy water access and great views of the bridge. Features restrooms, guarded swimming in summer, and the Big Chill restaurant for lunch and dinner.
North Indian River Inlet
On the north side of the Inlet, known as one of the best surf breaks on the Mid-Atlantic coast. Bring your surfboard or skimboard.

NEIGHBORHOOD & HOUSE RULES
Watermark is a quiet, gated community in North Bethany Beach. All guests are expected to comply with HOA rules and regulations. Violations may result in fines assessed to the property owner, which may be passed along to renters. As long as you are respectful of your neighbors and the community, you should have no issues.
Key Rules
No hanging items outside: Towels, clothing, and other items may not be hung outside the home.
No pets: Dogs and all pets are not permitted on the property for renters. This includes visiting pets.
Pool & fitness center hours: Use only during posted operating hours. After-hours use is strictly prohibited.
No smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or outside the home.
Occupancy
Maximum overnight occupancy: 10 guests. Please do not exceed this limit.
Security
Lock all doors and windows whenever you leave the property.
Do not share access codes with anyone outside your rental group.
TRASH & RECYCLING
Trash pickup is provided directly from the home — no need to haul it to the curb.
Trash: Collected every Monday — place containers outside the garage doors.
Recycling: Collected every other Monday.
Tip: Many guests store containers under the covered area beneath the second-floor balcony throughout their stay. This reduces odors and deters insects — and means you never have to remember to move them for pickup.
Overflow: If you have more trash than the bins can hold, you may bring it to the local transfer station in Millville.
